Orchard House
Ropley
A contemporary replacement dwelling on the rural fringe of the Hampshire village of Ropley. The project replaces an early 20th century bungalow with a low-rise two storey house with semi-basement. The design takes maximum advantage of the uninterrupted countryside views to the front, with all bedrooms orientated in this direction. In contrast the split level living space enjoys a south facing aspect into the private garden. Zinc cladding wraps the first floor above a rendered and timber clad base. Louvres to the rear elevation control views, privacy and solar gain.
