Olivers Battery, Winchester
A contemporary house on an infill site in Olivers Battery, Winchester. The site presented several challenges, being to the front of an existing bungalow and adjacent to a primary school. The predominantly single storey three bedroom house is single aspect, addressing a west-facing enclosed walled garden. The design features a zinc monopitch roof with a ‘pop-up’ dormer to the first floor bedroom, this is combined with red brick and large areas of glazing to create a simple, modern design.
